The Sweet Rose of May: Ophelia
2nd portrait after Lady MacBeth's
I don't have time to finish it, I'll probably get back to it later. I think I'll put it on the reverse side to show her drowning...I'll figure out
EDIT : a few hours work to finish it, but I just couldn't let it down =) All things considered, the reverse side isn't necessary...

Close-up

I went to see Hamlet on Saturday evening at the theatre. It felt like a dream at the beggining, but then, I got a little bit bored, for there was no intermission in 3 hours. I think I needed that, for it became stiffling at some point.
Anyway, I keep a great memory of it.

WAIT. This isn't where I parked my tardis...
I await the moment when They come. They are the ones who take us to wherever we wish, some call it death. But you always come back...

There's rosemary, that's for remembrance. Pray you, love, remember. And there is pansies, that's for thoughts. There's fennel for you, and columbines. There's rue for you, and here's some for me; we may call it herb of grace o' Sundays. O, you must wear your rue with a difference. There's a daisy. I would give you some violets, but they withered all when my father died...

This one, along with your Lady Macbeth, are both haunting and beautiful. I dearly love Shakespearean text, and seeing these characters brought to life in your art makes me smile. Thank you. :D
